Uma “era” chegará ao fim no Desfile das Escolas de Samba do Grupo Especial no próximo carnaval, veremos a despedida de um ícone da festa de Momo: Luiz Antônio Feliciano Neguinho da Beija-Flor Marcondes (sim ele adotou, e assina o pseudônimo), ou simplesmente Neguinho da Beija-Flor, assinalou publicamente que será seu último desfile na Sapucaí.
Do alto de seus 75 anos de idade, e desde 1975 de frente no Carro de Som da agremiação nilopolitana que sempre defendeu, o cantor comunicou oficialmente: “Depois do carnaval de 2025, que é uma homenagem ao mestre Laíla, eu encerro a minha carreira na Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí. A gente morre duas vezes: quando morre de verdade; e, quando pára”.
Neguinho, emocionadíssimo, prometeu seguir em frente nos palcos, em sua carreira solo, fazendo seus shows; mas, admitiu que a sua idade pode não permiti-lo desempenhar uma boa performance á frente da azul e branco soberana, por isso tomou a decisão de abreviar seus 50 anos de carreira; lembrando que ele passou por um tratamento de um câncer durante sua carreira.
O portal Sambrasil, que testemunhou a caminhada desse verdadeiro gigante do samba, e sabe o quanto ele é talentoso, e fará falta na pista, como sua voz poderosa, abraça e saúda Neguinho da Beija-Flor; e encerra com um trecho da carta à sua amada escola:

Em 2025, cantarei a exaltação de meu parceiro Laíla – a quem conheci ainda antes do primeiro Carnaval, na lendária roda de samba do Bola Preta –, como epílogo dessa odisseia que durou meio século de folia e felicidade. Superou muito meus melhores sonhos. E continuarei lhe amando. Você pode contar comigo por toda a eternidade.
